Mind the gap!
Getting around B.C. can feel like a real puzzle with its vast landscapes and breathtaking landmarks! It’s only natural that a map should help you navigate this beauty. If you're wondering where the tracks might lead or finding traffic a hassle, don’t despair. Here are some tips to help you conquer skytraining!
Vancouver’s traffic can be nothing short of unpredictable, so the Skytrain offers a reliable and time-saving alternative. Therefore, plan accordingly and keep an eye out for a huge letter “T” signpost as it signifies the nearest Skytrain station within your vicinity. It’s easy to get overwhelmed amidst the hustle and bustle, but don’t forget to look up! There’s an electronic sign post that provides the schedules for the next Skytrain so remember to be proactive and keep account of your surroundings.
Arguably one of the most confusing parts of skytraining is making sure you actually get on the right train. Here’s a breakdown of the skytrain lines and their corresponding colours:
Millennium Line (Yellow)
Connects Lafarge Lake-Douglas to VCC-Clark.
Perfect for traveling from Coquitlam through Burnaby to Vancouver.
Expo Line (Blue)
Runs between Production Way–University, Waterfront, and King George.
Heading to Surrey? Transfer at Columbia Station for a SkyTrain bound for King George.
Canada Line (Teal)
Operates on its own track, connecting Vancouver to Richmond and YVR Airport.
Wherever there’s a Skytrain station you’re more than likely to come across the buses within the vicinity of the area, so navigating your way has been made easy. However, if you do get stuck, feel free to talk to a Translink supervisor as well as they are more than willing to provide assistance.
Ready to grab your Compass Card and let the SkyTrain take you on a seamless journey through Vancouver, where will your next adventure take you?
