Making your average days of the week interesting.
Out of 365 days, it is not surprising that there are some wacky celebrations to make your average Tuesday a fun observance. Below are five days spread throughout the year that may make everyday life more enjoyable.
March 18th - National Awkward Moments Day
When hasn't anyone had an awkward moment? For some, daily life can be a mix of awkward exchanges that cause any overthinker to lie awake at night. To observe this day, which is made to acknowledge every awkward interaction you may have encountered, consider calling a friend to retell a story, becoming a master of helping others remove themselves from embarrassing moments, or simply understanding that awkwardness is human.
May 9th - Lost Sock Remembrance Day
It is a day to commemorate every sock that has mysteriously disappeared and every sock without a pair to match. Lost Sock Day encourages single sock owners to reuse their socks creatively or thoughtfully, such as donating the material to local animal shelters or using the sock to craft.
August 10th - National Lazy Day
Have no fear if you're ever self-conscious about not doing enough. National Lazy Day allows you to kick back and do nothing. Throw on your favourite movie, ignore some emails, lay in the grass, and watch the clouds. Being lazy is an art that anyone can celebrate.
October 23rd - National Croc Day
Crocs were a cultural reset, regardless of what critics may waffle about. They are friends to those who have had long days in aching shoes, a simple slide for the beach, or just the classic running errand shoe of choice. Now, there is a day to break out the iconic holed shoe and connect with your Croc community.
November 25th - Blasé Day
According to Merriam-Webster, the definition of Blasé is underactive and unconcerned with our surroundings. On November 25th, take your attitude to the extreme and take it in the slow lane by being as blase as possible because it's just another day.
